Recent Stuff

Lots of makeup everywhere.. Some cool stuff..I was asked to do makeup for the CBS Sports Iceskating Championships in January 21-23rd..I really wanted to, but had a previous wedding and didn"t want to be that kind of makeup artist to pull out of the wedding for something "better" You know what, just being the first choice for it made me feel great and amazing actually..So i had to pass,she was sad but on they went to find a replacement!!

So that is cool..I also did the funky chartruese eye on the Mayfair Mall - Find Your Pretty Campaign.. That was fun.. Just saw that my work is featured on this years cover of Island Bride so yay!! :) In between those I have been doing tons of makeup..I have about 40 weddings booked this year so far..LOL..I think i am good..I told myself i wouldn't do too many as when it rains it pours..BUT!! I feel bad when a bride has sourced me out and really wants me and is willing to accommodate my schedule and squeeze in where she can..of course I will do it..So once again there are several dates where I am doing 2 weddings, but you know what! I LOVE my job and my clients and they appreciate me..So how could i not do that for them on their special Day.

I am officially not part of MAC anymore..I cut the cord so to speak last week , and had such a great experience working there for the last 8 years..

I am continuing to strive to better my skills and loving all the process in between..I love doing my Stella & Dot Trunkshows as well..If you ever want me to set up the jewlery and do one contact me..They are super laid back and no demonstrations or speeches.. Just a group of ladies having wine and chatting while trying on fabulous stylish jewlery..

Need some Updates ..

I have kept busy throughout these past months... Yesterday I did makeup for a beauty who went from blonde to brunette.. She looked stunning. Today just did some Boudoir makeup at Fairholme Manor off Rockland Ave..Wow it is so beautiful there..I am happy to say that i have kept relatively busy with my makeup business all throughout the Fall/Winter!! I am glad that there were still some beautiful Winter Weddings.. That along with my now being a stylist and selling Stella & Dot jewelry, get to it at www.stelladot.com/melbaird) I am having fun with my 2 businesses.. This line is so stunning and stylish..I have agreat time deciding what to wear everyday with my outfits..I look so put together even if i am wearing jeans and a t shirt or something similar, as i can be pretty casual normally..A fun piece of jewelery really pulls together an outfit..ok..I will try to write even just little bits form now on:)
